Identity & consent
Email/phone verified, ID document + selfie (Stripe Identity), PIPEDA consent captured.
Baseline (criminal record check)
Canadian name-based CRC cleared. Required before accepting any booking.
Elevated access
Enhanced CRC + own insurance (CGL + animal-bailee + E&O) + municipal permit where required.
Escalation
Fingerprint/certified check or guided Vulnerable Sector Check when identity is unconfirmed or flagged.

Follow each walk live on the map, then keep a timestamped Pawport report card with photos, check-in and check-out times, and notes. Location tracking only runs during an active walk - never before or after.
In-app messaging & payments
Chat, book, and pay entirely inside PetWalk. Keeping everything on-platform is the protected path - sharing contact details or paying off-platform breaks that protection and leaves you on your own. Please don't.

Every booking made through the app is covered by PetWalk Protected, our protection program for eligible vet costs and property damage. It's included on all in-app bookings - no extra fee, no opt-in.
